The first Tournament of the new season was held this week at the home of The Gecko Pro Tour ? the Marbella Golf & Country Club.
For once, the conditions were benign with almost no wind for the entire 3-day Tournament resulting in a high number of low rounds. In total, there were 6 rounds that equalled the course record and the winner Rod Bastard posted a stunning final round of 64, beating the existing course record by an incredible 3 strokes!
In Tied 4th Place, Moises Cobo and Carlos Rodiles (San Roque Club) posted a highly respectable overall score of -7. In 3rd Place, Adam Sagar (San Roque Club) who was leading after 2 rounds, finished with an excellent score of -9. In 2nd Place, Raul Quiros Rodriguez posted 3 rounds of 68 (-4) to come in with a superb -12.
Rod Bastard (Marbella Golf Resort) was the star of the show posting a final round of 64 (8 under Par) to win the Tournament by 3 strokes.
