Daniel de la Serna Gil, a junior member of Marbella Golf Country Club, was the winner of the second category with 38 strokes of the Pequecircuito tournament that took place on February 4th at Alhaurín Golf Club.
The three courses of Sherry Golf Jerez, Alhaurín Golf y Golf Almerimar welcomed the Andalusian circuit “Pequecircuito” Saturday the 4th February 2017, starting the 2017 tournament season.
In total more than 230 players under 12 years of age participated on the 3 courses and enjoyed a fun day of golf playing 9 holes in format stroke play scratch.
It was the first of the 6 tournaments that will be held throughout the year, each one of them in three zones, until the grand final, that will take place at Lauro Golf the 3rd December 2017.
A total of 52 players disputed the tournament at Alhaurín Golf. The players that most stood out in the “benjamin” category of 9 and 10 year olds were Maria Ruiz de la Herrán, with 49 strokes, and our junior member Daniel de la Serna with 38. Meanwhile in the category of less than 8 years of age, Isabel Camps and Raúl Gallardo stood out.
In the male “alevin” category, the accurate Rafael Fernandez took the victory with a total of 35 strokes, whilst in the girls’ category the victory belonged to Laura Ortega with 33 strokes.
