On Friday, March 13th, Marbella Golf Country Club held the annual St. Patrick’s Day competition. Luckily we hold our events on the Friday nearest the actual celebration date, so it occurred before the total shutdown of Spain in an effort to control the Covid19 pandemic. The competition fielded 52 members and guests, who played a 4 ball Texas Scramble followed by a 3 course lunch with entertainment by Mark and Ron with their guitars. This was followed by prize giving emceed by our Club Captain, John Radcliffe and our Vice-Captain, Steve Cullen.
The winners were Bruce Hurley, Jim Robertson, Lee Twyman and John Radcliffe.
The runners up were Jeff Parkin, Nigel Thornton, Graham Stacey and Warren Morris.
The team of Susan Keenan Sweeney, Joseph Horvath, Connie Draddy and Errol Mills came third.
The nearest to pin prizes were awarded to Erika Harzheim and Errol Mills.
