Played over two sunny but breezy days, and featuring blind draws on both days, the first day being a four-ball better ball format gave the Captain an 8 points to 4 points lead. But there were still 24 points for the singles matches to be played for on Wednesday and, as we all know, anything can happen in Match play golf. The blind draw featured some great match-ups, but the Captains team managed to hold on, and, in fact, stretch the lead and retained the trophy winning comfortably in the end by 22.5 points to 12.5 points.
President Ray Norris handed over the trophy to Captain John Radcliffe, along with a side bet of a lovely bottle of Monteabellón red wine.
