90 guests joined us for the Burns Day Celebration starting with a Texas Scramble golf tournament. The Haggis, all the way from Bonny Scotland, was addressed by our very own Scot, Hugh Craig, who served up a fabulous rendition and helped to make the Burns Day celebration a huge success again this year. A traditional Scottish lunch followed. We thank Sue and Rod Owen who tried tirelessly again to teach us the Gay Gordon and a big thank you to Ben Nelmes of the Jersey Boys and a member of the club for entertaining us with great music.
The winning teams of the golf tournament were:
Winning team: Grant Comley, Liz Britton, Charlie Lynch and Angela Weigl
Runners up: Steve Boyle, Frank Sadler, Karl Weigl and Anita Cullen
3rd place: Hugh Craig, Rod Owen, Ben Nelmes and Maxine Hobson
Nearest to pin prize winners were Anita Cullen and Kari Huttunen.
