Autumn is approaching and MGCC is getting ready to start the new round of Captain’s Day, followed by our Ladies Interclub fixtures. Currently, we have fixtures arranged with El Chaparral, Miraflores and Los Arqueros. This year we have many more ladies, who have joined MGCC and so hopefully, we can increase our team size up to 12 players. We are keen to do well again and retain our cup for the 3rd year, against El Chaparral.
One of the great things about our club, is that we have so many international lady members, who return every year to share fascinating stories of different cultures. Welcome back everyone!
We have already started our infamous, monthly Birdie Juice competition. Any flight member, who scores a Birdie, entitles the group to have ‘a wee tot’ and a toast, ‘To the Birdie!’ So far, we have tasted, Ruby Port, Banana Liqueur and Gin Fizz. Some of the men are very envious. Our September winners were Eliis Naro, Ludmila Fowler and Kiki Bach, with Eliis also winning ‘Nearest the pin’. Congratulations!
