It’s that time of year again and Marbella Golf Country Club now has the largest, active lady membership in our history! It really is fantastic to enjoy conversations with ladies from many different countries and to make new friendships. For the first time, we are able to select teams of 8 and even 10 players for our Ladies Interclub matches.
Our last matches were home and away with Miraflores. We won our home match comfortably and had a really enjoyable day’s golf, matched perfectly with a great meal provided by Francesc, our Restaurant Manager and his super staff.
A couple of weeks later, we played the return match at Miraflores and despite our greatest efforts we lost, but again, it was a really good fun day and the weather was FANTASTIC! Just look at that Mediterranean blue sky.
The last Friday in the month of January saw the return of the Ladies Birdie Juice Competition and it gave us the chance to include our new Lady Members and introduce them to the fun and laughter that we have on these days. Friday 23rd February is the next one…..4 clubs and a putter…..make sure your name is down as places are running out fast!
At this point in the season, I would like to thank all our new lady members for their support. MGCC is fast becoming THE place for ladies who golf!
