Dear Ladies,
It’s been wonderful to see a few new faces at the club recently! I always try to introduce myself when I spot someone new, but please do not hesitate to approach me if I haven’t had the chance yet. You’ll often find me around the club on competition days, and I’d be thrilled to join you for a round of golf on any other day—just let me know!
Interclub Match Update
Our first Interclub Match of the year against Miraflores took place on Friday, January 10th, at their course. It was a beautiful day, very warm for January. There was a scary moment when one of the Miraflores ladies collapsed on the course, thankfully she recovered and was back at MGCC the following week for the return match.
The home match was scheduled for Friday January 17th, but just as we were preparing to head towards the 1st tee, heavy rain began to pour. After careful consideration, I made the tough decision to cancel the match for safety reasons. While the rain stopped and the sun came out an hour later, I hope you all understand how difficult it was to make this decision. A great deal of effort goes into organizing these matches, and with the opposing team at our club, it was not easy to have to call it off. After speaking with Satu and Monty, and with their full support, I have decided that going forward, Interclub matches will only be cancelled if the club itself decides to close the course. Ladies, have your waterproof gear in your golf bag! 🙂
Birdie Juice
January Birdie Juice had to be cancelled due to the insufficient number of ladies participating, same exact situation we had in December.
Meanwhile, our Ladies Interclub matches will continue twice a month, and I will explore new event ideas for the ladies should the demand be there.
Special Congratulations
I would like to extend my heartfelt congratulations to Melanie Scholz for achieving an incredible milestone by lowering her handicap to 9.3.
She is currently the lowest handicap among all our ladies, a fantastic achievement. Well done, Melanie!!!

Big Birthday celebrations
It was time to celebrate one of my big birthdays and I went all out with multiple celebrations! But one thing I knew for sure, I couldn’t let this milestone pass without sharing it with the members at Marbella Golf Country Club.
So, on Friday January 31st, I did that!
With fantastic competition underway, I had the perfect excuse to raise a glass and enjoy some delicious food with everyone, the day was filled with laughter and good vibes.
I hope you all had as much fun as I did! Our club isn’t just a place to play golf, it is a community and a place where members and staff come together to make every day special.
A huge thank you to the kitchen staff, restaurant team and our F&B Director, Francesc Hormigo, for their hard work and dedication!
