The sun is back, the grass is growing and Marbella Golf and Country Club has an ever growing group of active, Lady Members.
Our last Ladies Interclub match was played at Los Arqueros and we were lucky to have a bright, sunny day. For the first time in our history, we were able to field a team of 10 players. We now have real strength in depth, with handicaps ranging from 12 to 35. For those of you who know the course, it is tight and course management is essential. Unfortunately, we lost narrowly but it didn’t stop us having a great day’s golf and meal with the Los Arqueros Ladies.
Ladies Birdie Juice Day continues to provide us with the opportunity for new Lady members to join us, in a fun competition and play in lots of different formats. Melanie Scholz, Susan Sweeney and Edna Graneli were our winners last time. Our next date is the 26th April. Spaces are limited so sign up now!
March was a very special month for Cristina Fernández Romero, who got her first Marbella hole-in-one (from the men’s tees!) on hole 9. We all send our congratulations Cristina. Well Done!
Last but not least, our fantastic Lady Professional, Abbey Gittings, is now only 2 months away from having her first baby. Abbey and her partner Phillip, also a golf professional, here at MGCC, are so excited. It must be odds on that their baby grows up to be a golfing champ! Congratulations from everyone at MGCC!
