Huge Success of the 2016 One Eyed Jack Tournament in aid of Cudeca

On Wednesday the 28th September 2016 Marbella Golf Country Club held its second edition of the One Eyed Jack Tournament in aid of Cudeca. 48 members with guests participated in this fun Texas Scramble tournament for a great cause. All players had to have a patch on their eye, when driving the ball from the tee and when putting.

Jack Smith, a member of Marbella Golf, had this unique idea last year and wanted to start an annual charity tournament to raise funds for Cudeca in their kind caring of cancer patients and their families, as Jack lost an eye due to cancer some years ago. Therefore he wanted all other members of Marbella Golf also to have the same difficulty to play golf, as he has, at least once a year.

All together 2.350 euros were raised for Cudeca through the raffle, auction and donations of the participants and other members of Marbella Golf. After the golf, all participants enjoyed lunch and live music at the terrace of the club house.

The winning teams were:

1st place: Ben Nelmes, Gerry Hannam, Tom Beamont and Chris Strang

2nd place: Charlie Smith, Paul Dunford, Frank Crawley and Stephen Boyle

3rd place: Norman Cameron, Alex Craig, Stuart Paterson and Jim Kalima

We would like to thank all the participants for their support and generosity and we look forward to seeing you all next year!
