Daniel de la Serna, winner of the “Pequecircuito” final and 2017 Ranking in the boys’ special category

Last Sunday December 3, Lauro Golf hosted a total of 90 players under twelve years of age who played the final of the “Pequecircuito de Andalucía 2017”, one of the most endearing tournaments of the federation competitions calendar.

Children enjoyed a wonderful day of golf, and they had a great time testing the short holes of Lauro Golf, located between 19 and 27.

The results did not disappoint and our youngest showed again that the future of Andalusian golf is in good hands. The winners of the Final of Pequecircuito and the winners of the Andalusian Ranking 2017 received their trophies and, sure, we will continue to hear their names for long.

In Alevin category, we must congratulate Javier Amorós (Miguel Ángel Jiménez Golf School) and Marta López de Novales (Añoreta Golf), winners with 39 and 44 shots. On the other hand, Tomos Davies (Baviera Golf) and Alejandra Cervera (Alcaidesa Links), took the triumph between the benjamines of 9 and 10 years, with 40 strokes each one of them, being the winners among the players of eight years and less Manuel Martín (La Envía Golf), with a great result of 39 shots, and Constanza Rodríguez (Club de Golf Ciudad de Linares), with 52.

Finally, in a special category, the winners were Daniel de la Serna (Marbella Golf & Country Club) and Noa Terroba (Club de Golf Benahavís), with 35 and 37 shots, respectively.

The winners of the 2017 Ranking were also awarded in the awards ceremony. Daniel de la Serna took the first position in the men’s special category, Daniel Pastor was the best among the alevins, and Daniel García and Manuel Martín picked up the prizes in the first and second category of benjamines.

Among the girls, Silvia Guerrero was the winner of the special category ranking, Laura Ortega among the alevins, and Yaiza Morales and María Ruiz de la Herrán among the youngest girls aged 9-10 and 8 years of age or younger, respectively.

It should be remembered that the “Pequecircuito de Andalucía” was born with the aim to promote golf among the youngest players who are starting to practice it, getting used to the competition and putting at their disposal some tournaments that allow successive drops of handicap until reaching the level that enables them to participate in competitions reserved for players of better category and / or greater age.
