On Friday, April 1st, we hosted the 2022 Bob Naify Trophy at the Marbella Golf Country Club. All the 56 participants had a wonderful time and were given a golf course in great condition, excellent food and superb entertainment by Tony Capo. The dancing and partying after the lunch went into the late evening on the terrace watching the sunset over the Mediterranean Sea. Dulcinea Antonsson had to the honor of winning the Trophy Cup – our most sincere Congratulations to her!
We had the honor of having the daughter and granddaughter of Mr. Naify here on the Costa del Sol from San Francisco, representing the family and supporting this grand event. Mr. Naify had a vision 35 years ago to build our golf course and on the behalf of the Management Team and all of the staff at MGCC we hope we made him proud continuing his legacy with this spectacular event.

Men’s category:
1st Jess Meakin with 33 points
2nd Roger Kemp with 31 points; with 17 points on the back 9 holes
3rd Carl Horne with 31 points; with 13 points on the back 9 holes
Ladies’ category:
1st Dulcinea Antonsson with 36 points – Trophy Cup winner
2nd Edna Graneli with 33 points
3rd Julie Owen with 28 points
Guest winner was Josiane Derguini with 35 points and the nearest to pin prize for ladies also went to her. There was no male winner for the nearest to pin prize, so we made a draw and Bani Morteza was the lucky one to win the prize.
