Our annual President’s Cup tournament was held on Friday May 2nd 2025, where 48 members and guests competed for the trophy. Our Club President, Mr. Steve Cullen, oversaw the awards ceremony and welcomed everyone to a lovely luncheon on our fabulous terrace with DJ Dreamell in charge of the live entertainment.
This year’s winners were after some hard-fought battles:
Category A, hcp 0-23,2:
1st prize and trophy cup winner: Cristina Fernández Romero with 36 points and 16 on the back nine holes.
2nd prize: Paul Weightman with also 36 points but 15 on the back nine holes.
3rd prize: Paul Judson with 34 points
Category B, hcp 23,3 and above:
1st prize: Edward Ball with 34 points
2nd prize: Paulette Koper-Stallmann with 32 points and 17 on the back nine and 11 on the back six holes.
3rd prize: Anita Cullen with also 32 points and with 17 points on the back nine but only 9 on the back six holes.
The best guest result went to Romain Derguini with 38 points. The men’s nearest to pin prize on hole 9 was won by Paul Weightman and Ladies’ nearest to pin on hole 11 by Anita Cullen.
