Marbella Golf Country Club’s annual St. Patrick’s Day Golf Competition and Barbeque was held this past Monday (you guessed it, St. Patrick’s Day) the 17th of March 2014. The field was made up of 92 golfers playing a Texas Scramble on a beautiful sunshiny day on the Costa Del Sol. After the golf competition, there was a traditional Irish / American barbeque with free Guiness on tap. We were later entertained by “Stelvis”, our resident Elvis impersonator, who had everyone up singing and dancing.
The winners of the competition were:
1st – Jesper Wiberg, David Cole, David Roberts and Sean Gallagher with a net score of 57.6.
2nd – Tim Slate, Brian McCartney, Dave Roberts and Stuart Sutherland with a net score of 57.7.
3rd – Patrick Jones, Grant Comley, Jon Shiels and Paul Dunford with a net score of 59.2.
