On Sunday, September 29th, the 3rd annual McDonald Trophy was held at Marbella Golf Country Club. Brendan and Bernie McDonald have been members of our golf club since the beginning and sponsored the day with fantastic prizes for the winners.
The rain held off all day and 44 members and guests enjoyed an individual stableford competition followed by our famous Sunday Lunch served in our art deco dining room. In total there were over 100 people gathered in the dining room for Sunday Lunch so the room was buzzing with enjoyment.
The overall winner, for the 2nd time, was Hugh Craig our current vice-captain. 2nd and 3rd prizes in the men’s category went to Piers Caldecote and John McNamara (our nominee for President) respectively. Magda Van Ouveren and Maxine Hobson won 1st and 2nd prizes for the ladies.
