Great success for the first golf tournament at Marbella Golf and Country Club for people learning to play golf without an official handicap.
The ‘Ist Golf Tournament for players without a handicap’ held at Marbella Golf & Country Club has ended with a great feeling of satisfaction for the organizers and especially for the players who experienced the thrill of competition for the first time .
The idea of creating a tournament for people who are in the process of learning to play golf arose from a suggestion received through the twitter channel that Marbella Golf has opened to communicate with clients and friends (@marbellagolfcc). The sponsorship from GOLFUSA at the Centro Comercial La Cañada in Marbella and the website www.dondejugaralgolf.com have made this Tournament a reality.
The individual Stableford competition was a 9 hole event using a single category for men and women. The winner of the competition was Ringo Kruts with 21 points, followed by Rocío Pomares with 16 points and Paul Smit with 15 points.
The success of the initiative has not only been the great atmosphere generated in the tournament, but also the great reception that it has had among Marbella Golf Schools which collaborated with the Tournament: Marbella Golf Academy, Santa Clara Golf School, Agüero & Barcena Golf School, Benalmádena Golf Center, La Quinta Golf Academy and the Academy of Golf Cerrado del Aguila.
