Saturday, October 18th, the Annual Captain’s Day competition was held at Marbella Golf Country Club.
60 members and guests played an individual stableford competition to win the Captain’s Day Trophy. The golf was followed by lunch, awards ceremony and entertainment on the main terrace for over 100 people, celebrating the inaugural Captain’s Day for Stuart Paterson, and the huge thank you for our outgoing Captain, Tom Richardson.
The overall Men’s winner was John Radcliffe with 41 points. Brendan McDonald was second and Liam Gibson third in the men’s category. The overall Ladies’ winner was Yumiko Smith with 35 points, followed by Bernie McDonald on second place and Catherine Shiels on third. Nearest to pin in 2 shots was won by John Cockerill and Nearest to Pin by Doug Derbyshire. The guests’ winner was Pat Guinan.
