Saturday October 30th kicked off a great Charity Event for ARCH, at the beautiful Marbella Golf and Country Club, beginning with coffee and followed by a 4-Ball Texas Scramble competition. Our Master of Ceremonies, Ronan MacGuire, organized the prize awards. Bill and Denise Whitehair of Cat and Dog World and David the Dogman from Talk Radio Europe, our prize sponsors, were on hand to assist with the awards. 1st place went to Minny Verboon, Robert Verboon, Joe Marsh and Malcolm Davies. 2nd place to Ronan Maguire, Shuj Datoo and Gavin Walker. 3rd place to Gareth Thomas, Jacob Thomas, Olivia Thomas and Kevin Thomas. Longest drive went to Craig Cooke and Dee Browne and nearest to the pin to Malcolm Davies and Minny Verboon.
After the awards, a superb barbecue lunch was served on the terrace followed by a raffle draw with great raffle prizes kindly donated by The Members Committee of Marbella Golf and by the Club.
While the golfers enjoyed their round of golf, the clubhouse hosted a Halloween Craft and Psychic Fair, decorated by the wonderful staff of Marbella Golf. Apart from the fabulous articles for sale, there were Tarot card readers, Indian Head Massages, Aura readings, and for the kids, bobbing for apples, Scavenger Hunts and a bouncy castle, to name but a few activities.
Later in the afternoon, kids of all ages paraded for the Halloween Costume competition, and what an imaginative bunch they were, it was a hard decision to choose the winners, but all had a great time.
Overall the day was a great success for ARCH and Marbella Golf. Our thanks go to all who joined us on the day and who supported us with their donations and especially to Craig Cooke, Asma Ebrahin, the Members and Staff of Marbella Golf and Ronan MacGuire of Golf the Costa.
We look forward to the next one in the New Year.
