Saturday November 5th saw another great turnout at the beautiful Marbella Golf and Country Club for the ARCH Charity Guy Fawkes Golf Day.
Over 50 golfers enjoyed a shotgun start in the beautiful surroundings of this fabulous golf course followed by a delicious carvery lunch of roast beef, roast pork and turkey with excellent desserts.
Prize giving was hosted by Ronan McGuire of Golf the Costa and a Friend of ARCH. Beautiful handmade candleholders sponsored by John Daniels, a life member of the club, were presented for 1st place, won by Donna, Lee and George Twyman and Joe Marsh. Hans Kraenzler, John McNamara and Russell and Jordan Hodgson won 2nd place, and 3rd place went to Stuart Sutherland, Tim Slate, Gary Edwards and Dave Roberts. There were also prizes for longest drive and nearest the pin for both Gents and Ladies. Great raffle prizes were also won.
ARCH would like to say a big thank you to all who turned out to support this twice-annual event and especially to Craig Cooke, Satu Kääriäinen, Asma Ebrahim, Ronan McGuire and the staff of Marbella Golf. The success of the day will help ARCH to continue their very important work of rescuing; rehabilitating and re-homing abused and abandoned horses, donkeys and mules.
