Marbella Golf Country Club and the Lion’s Club of Marbella, German Sector, held it’s first annual two day German Style Christmas Market on Saturday and Sunday November 24 and 25 with over 700 visitors shopping, eating and singing along with the TAPAS Choir who performed fabulous, nostalgic Carols.
Champagne with smoked salmon and Mulled wine were just a few of the wonderful items to taste. The children were treated to regular appearances from Santa Claus giving out candy and made Gingerbread houses or decorated Christmas cookies giving the parents a chance to shop at the multitude of stalls selling anything from beautiful clothing, unusual jewelery, delicious food items, pretty Christmas decorations and delicious gingerbreads from Germany.
Many enjoyed drinks on the beautiful terrace overlooking the Mediterranean. The profit from the event went to a Charity for unwed homeless young girls. Marbella Golf would like to thank the Lion’s Club for all of their hard work, all of the Vendors for taking part, the TAPAS CHOIR for donating their time and the Restaurant and kitchen Staff of the club for all of their hard work and for helping to make the market a huge success.
