Last Tuesday and Wednesday 22nd and 23rd, Marbella Golf CC hosted the first Gecko Pro Tour Tournament of the season. Gecko organizes tournaments for pros and amateurs in the best golf courses of Spain. On this occasion, two of our youngest members and very good golfers, Antonio Pimentel and George Twyman, participated with well known pros such as Cañizares, Johansen and Quirós among others.
Antonio had a result of -5, He was the amateurs winner with 68 on Tuesday and 71 on Wednesday. George finished level par, with 75 on the first day and improving to 69 on the final day.
From Marbella Golf we would like to congratulate our members for participating and on their result in this competition also the Gecko Pro Tour for choosing our golf course as their venue and last but not least big Gabriel Cañizares for proclaiming his victory with -10 in a breathtaking final.
