They say that the car design world is full of dreamers and crooks. Fran has certainly met his fair share of both on his path from troublesome child through his unusual and sometimes chaotic career path.
The road from school through college to break into the car design world is not an easy one and is littered with the remains of those who tried and failed, the Royal College of Art in London is one of the two main training grounds in the world which produce a handful of post graduate car designers per year to supply the world market. Only 10 or 12 hopeful candidates make it into the course in the first place, when they graduate, the real fight begins. Fran will chat about the highs and lows of this unstable career plus the general process from a thumbnail sketch to driving the prototype onto the show stand to an eager awaiting public!
